Ever since its release, the AI chatbot ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, has been empowering individuals worldwide to generate a variety of written content — from intricate essays and concise memos to creative poetry and coding. The technology’s advanced capacity to swiftly produce compelling content has proven rather beneficial for job seekers as well, who now utilise ChatGPT to craft persuasive cover letters and concise resumes. However, this evolution has not escaped the attention of hiring managers. Aware of the growing reliance on generative AI tools among candidates, recruiters are shifting away from traditional methods of assessment.

Increasingly, a candidate’s social media and LinkedIn profiles are taking precedence as recruiters seek to better understand their personalities and suitability for roles. Furthermore, the conventional relevance of cover letters and resumes, now easily generated by AI, is diminishing as a result. Experts suggest that these changes will cause a ripple effect on standard hiring procedures. For instance, employers may introduce more challenging assessments, place a higher emphasis on in-person evaluation, or lean into AI themselves to screen candidates. Advanced recruitment tools using AI to conduct skill and personality assessments are already in use by large corporations, indicating a trend towards data-driven behavioural insights in the recruitment process. Thus, generative AI is not only a game-changer for job seekers but it’s also revolutionising the hiring landscape as we know it.

“By doing the heavy lifting for you, the tool saves you time and energy while still maintaining your unique voice and style”.

Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn’s chief product officer

LinkedIn introduces AI-powered writing suggestions

LinkedIn is no stranger to AI and automation. For years, the company has been using these technologies to streamline various aspects of its platform. This mostly took place on the back end, focusing largely on the functionality of the platform’s network. However, fuelled by Microsoft’s growing investment in OpenAI, LinkedIn is now starting to incorporate AI into more visible aspects of its platform as well. The company recently announced the launch of AI-powered writing suggestions, which are aimed at both job seekers and recruiters, helping the former enhance their LinkedIn profiles while assisting the latter in drafting job descriptions. Based on ChatGPT, the new tool is designed to help those who struggle to present a compelling personal narrative to make their profiles more appealing to prospective employers. “Our tool identifies the most important skills and experiences to highlight in your ‘About’ and ‘Headline’ sections, and crafts suggestions to make your profile stand out”, says Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn’s chief product officer. “By doing the heavy lifting for you, the tool saves you time and energy while still maintaining your unique voice and style”. A similar process is applied to job descriptions as well. After providing some basic information, such as job title and company name, recruiters receive a preliminary AI-generated job description, which they can then customise according to their needs. “By streamlining this part of the hiring process, you can focus your energy on more strategic aspects of your job”, adds Cohen.

hireEZ expands recruiting platform with new gen-AI feature

The recruiting platform hireEZ recently announced that its latest update will also introduce new generative AI functionality, which will use OpenAI’s GPT-3 model to significantly reduce the amount of time it takes recruiters to draft and send emails to potential candidates. Currently, recruiters are often required to send hundreds of messages per day, which can be very time-consuming, but the new functionality will completely automate this process. By simply entering a job description into the user interface, recruiters will now be able to generate unique email messages for each candidate almost instantly, bolstering their ability to deliver personalised outreach at a much larger scale. “We see the use of generative AI as a massive opportunity to improve how businesses engage and communicate with talent”, says Steven Jiang, CEO at hireEZ. “Our goal is to make sure the technology works efficiently, and ethically, for both companies and job candidates. Any recruiter today will tell you they feel like they are doing the job of five people. We envision a future where AI can help one recruiter easily do the job of 10”.

“Generative AI in HR presents an opportunity to create uniquely personalised experiences across the talent lifecycle — from generating better job descriptions to helping employees take the next step in their career to helping executives answer critical talent questions”.

Sultan Saidov, cofounder and president of Beamery

TalentGPT revolutionises the talent acquisition and talent management experience

Similarly, the talent lifecycle management solutions provider Beamery recently launched a new generative AI solution named TalentGPT. Heralded by the company as “the first generative AI for HR technology”, TalentGPT was built using a combination of Beamery’s proprietary AI, Talent Graph, OpenAI’s GPT-4, and several other pre-trained large language models, delivering a single assistant that could potentially revolutionise the talent acquisition and talent management experience for recruiters, candidates, managers, and employees alike. Among other things, TalentGPT can identify existing talent and skills gaps within a company and automatically generate new job descriptions to close them. It can also provide employees with personalised career recommendations and suggest which skills they need to develop in order to further their careers. “Generative AI in HR presents an opportunity to create uniquely personalised experiences across the talent lifecycle — from generating better job descriptions to helping employees take the next step in their career to helping executives answer critical talent questions”, says Sultan Saidov, cofounder and president of Beamery.

Sense accelerates the hiring process with new generative AI solutions

As one of the world’s leading AI-powered talent engagement platforms, Sense knows a thing or two about how to improve the hiring process. The company recently announced the launch of an array of innovative generative AI solutions designed to make the hiring process more efficient. Developed specifically with recruiters in mind, the new solutions basically function as a co-pilot of sorts, helping recruiting teams automate various repetitive tasks, increase their efficiency, and produce higher-quality content. In other words, they are designed to help recruiters streamline their workflows and make better-informed hiring decisions. One of these solutions is the Pre-Screening Question Generator, which pulls job titles or job descriptions from your current applicant tracking system (ATS) to automatically generate a set of pre-screening questions. It also creates a chatbot tailored specifically for the role in question, ensuring a consistent and efficient pre-screening process. Then, there’s the Job Description Generator, which can help recruiters create the perfect job description within seconds by simply entering a job title. The Candidate Survey Response tool goes a step further, creating a summary of candidate survey responses gathered over a given period and presenting it in an easy-to-comprehend format. This allows recruiting teams to make immediate, data-driven improvements to the candidate experience. The Text & Email Generator tool enables recruiters to generate text messages, email campaigns, or WhatsApp messages, and tailor them specifically to each individual candidate, eliminating the need to constantly produce new copy. Additionally, the Job Recommendations for Candidates tool allows recruiters to provide candidates with a more personalised experience by suggesting jobs that match their individual preferences. Finally, the Resume Generator tool enables recruiters to effortlessly construct a resume for promising candidates who may not have one, using nothing more than previous chatbot conversations with them, accelerating the application submission process.

In closing

The introduction of generative AI has had a dramatic impact on the recruitment landscape in a relatively short amount of time. This convergence of technology and talent management is not merely an evolution; it’s a revolution, poised to redefine the future of work. Job seekers as well as recruiters are now increasingly relying on AI tools to streamline the various processes involved, leading to a more efficient, personalised, and dynamic recruitment ecosystem. While this shift — like any other transformative development of the past — will not be without its challenges, the immense potential of AI technology is steering us towards a more equitable and inclusive future in the realm of human resources.

As the labour market becomes increasingly competitive, job seekers and recruiters are both using generative AI to streamline the recruitment process.

[5563
4556,4515,4879,5564,5565,4588

5485
post-78328","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-hrm","tag-ai-en-2","tag-hiring","tag-recruitment-en","tag-talent","tag-talent-acquisition","tag-trends-en-2","trends-artificial-intelligence-en
["GET
